My inspirations for becoming a teacher is pretty straight forward but the importance it has or a lesson that can be learned is be that person. people say be someone's idle or try to give a helping hand well in school growing up it was hard for me to learn sometimes and there wasn't very many teachers that cared but, there was a select few when growing up that treated me above and beyond regardless of how well i was doing or if i didn't understand the assignment. those teachers taught me a lesson ill never forget and it was the power of helping other people even if its not 1000% right just to take the extra minute or step to help a child means the world and i know that from my own experiences. so to sum the story up do everything you can for kids because they will take it with them for the rest of there life yea its extra work and sometimes a hassle but you quite literally shape the future by these small gestures of kindness.
My legacy i hope to leave as an educator is definitely being that individual for some one i love kids that look up to teachers as remodels and i will strive to have an eye out for kids that just need that person in there life to help the succeed or even talk to.
I believe that as a teacher you will need to have an open mindset about the everchanging world as well as the children we teach but i believe its important to have a true character and philosophy about why we signed up to be teachers and find our own paths of teaching and mentoring style to best fit the kids we teach.
Hi Nolan, I agree that the negatives can stick with kids more than the positives. We as teachers need to be a positive light in these kids' lives! It is hard, but rewarding.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with your comments about how certain teachers go the extra mile to help students in need. The teachers I remember the most are those ones that put in a little extra time and effort to care for their students. I aspire to be one of those teachers.
ReplyDeleteWe had very simmilar resposes for our motivation to teach. Helping others and showing them how much you care. I think with that idea as the driving force behind your teaching you will be very successful!
